Waka Bar hasn't celebrated its first birthday yet, but it is already firmly entrenched in Nice as one of the places to be.
Overlooking the bustle and blue sea of the Promenade des Anglais, in the afternoon you can sit out on the terrasse and hang with the cheerful, suntanned staff. In the evening, the DJ kicks in and the young and beautiful people of Nice show up to dance the night away.
Garth, the owner, hails from New Zealand and between the rest of the staff and clients, there aren't many languages you won't hear spoken here. The eclectic mix of nationalities and styles provides something for everyone.
After taking a wander through the narrow streets of Vieux Nice, the Waka Bar balcony with its incredible sea view is the best place to sit and relax with a burger and a New Zealand craft beer. When you've had enough relaxing, head downstairs to the party.
Whether you're an expat in Nice or just visiting, put this address on your To Do list.
